Synthesis, vibrational spectroscopy and crystal structure of zinc and sodium tricarboxylate coordination polymers with the flexible ligand tricarballylate anion (TCA3-)

Resumen:
A new 3-D coordination polymer [NaZn(C6H5O6)(H2O)3]n has been hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Compound crystallizes in the centrosymmetric monoclinic group C2/c with with a=10.885(2), b=13.219(3), c=15.299(5) Å, b=102.23(2)°, V (Å3)=2151(1), Z=8, R=0.0383, Rw=0.0939 in which one tricarballylic anion coordinate by the three carboxylate groups to one Zn and one Na cations in the asymmetric unit. The solid has been characterized using elemental analysis and FTIR and Raman spectroscopies. Thermogravimetric analysis indicates that the complex is thermally stable up to 200 oC.
