Resumen:
Diffusion studies using sophisticated molecules and macromolecules require low-volume and more sensitive methodologies. Current commercial and home- made diffusion cell devices require a milliliter- scale volume to be sampled for quantification. Such devices also require stirring to guarantee a homogeneous solute distribution into each half cell compartment. In addition, for studying new porous membranes, at least a square-centimeter-scale area must be available to perform diffusion experiments. Thus, macromolecular diffusion experiments are hardly performed under routine experimental setup.
