Resumen:
In the present work we have studied structure changes in EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene monomer) subjected to “in situ” outdoor High-Voltage ageing conditions in an active transmission line at 33 kV. Aged samples exhibited a decrease in the degree of crystallinity, determined from dynamical mechanical analysis and dielectric relaxation spectroscopy. In addition the Mocellini’s model which invoke an electro-rheological description of dielectrics was also applied for making clearer the interpretation of the results.
