Emisión de altas energías de galaxias con fomación estelar activa

In recent years, the detection of star forming galaxies at GeV and TeV energies by Fermi and Cherenkov (H.E.S.S. y VERITAS) observatories, respectively, has opened a new era for the study of the cosmic-ray population of galaxies. The Fermi survey is still small, so far just five galaxies outside the Local Group have been detected. Given that there are more than one thousand of unidentified Fermi sources, we propose to increase this sample by doing a cross-correlation search of the last Fermi catalog with different galaxies catalogs. Here we report our preliminary results, and discuss the contribution of our results to the picture of cosmic-ray production in these objects.
