Resumen:
This presentation provides an overview of two ongoing projects conducted by the Underwater Archaeology Program of the National Institute of Anthropology in Argentina. Both of them deal  with historic shipwrecks and are conducted in Patagonia, Southern Argentina. The main research project consists of the study of the HMS Swift, a British sloop of war which sank off the coast of Santa Cruz Province,  in 1770. Another project is conducted in the Puerto Madryn- Peninsula Valdés region (Chubut Province), and its main goal is to assess the characterictics of different historic shipwrecks and contribute to their management and valorization.
