Resumen:
This paper presents a sensorless drive for 3-phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors with tolerance to current sensor faults. A nonlinear observer is used to provide rotor position, speed and phase current estimates as feedback to the system controller. During a failure in one of the current sensors, an error reconstruction method is used to achieve stable and uninterrupted operation of the observer. The remaining phase current sensor signal provides the feedback to the system. The performance of the proposed system is shown by computer simulations.
