Resumen:
This paper presents a control method for permanent magnet (PM) motors based on a non– linear full–order observer working in combination with a signal injection scheme. This allows an extended sensorless operating range down to zero speed, using only one voltage and one current sensor in the DC-Link for further cost reduction. In order for the signal injection scheme to work properly, some asymmetry must be present in the motor’s dd and q axis inductances. Such asymmetry is also taken into account in the motor model used to construct the observer. The performance of the proposed scheme is shown by computer simulation. taken into account in the motor model used to construct the observer.
