Resumen:
In this work we study the distribution of time intervals between avalanches in a rice pilemodel. This model has shown that the crossover from power law to stretched exponentialbehaviors observed experimentally in the granular dynamics of rice piles can be welldescribed as a long-range e ect resulting from a change in the transport properties ofindividual grains. In this work we show that the change in the transport properties isalso reflected in the behavior of the distribution of time intervals between avalanches.
