In the lowest complexity and consumption configu-ration, the narrow-band Internet of things (NB-IoT) standard issensitive to hardware imperfections and interference from LTEusers, due to the lost of orthogonality between the subcarriers.The interference from other LTE users is particularly harmfuldue to the low power decay of the leakage in the frequencydomain and the fact that LTE received signals might havehigher power than that of NB-IoT. In this paper, we providemeasurement results that validate the interference leakage pre-dicted by simulations. Additionally, we propose a successiveinterference cancellation (SIC) algorithm that is able to removethe interference and is robust to differences between the powerof the received signals.
