Resumen:
In this work it is introduced a scheme to reduce theeffects of a differential GPS signal when acting as interferencein narrowband powerline communications systems. The noveltyis the use of specific cyclostationary characteristics of the interferingsignal for its cancellation. A robust detection method (theforward consecutive mean excision algorithm) is used to defineif the interfering signal is present. As a second step, when theinterference is detected, two alternatives are considered: simplesubcarrier notching, on one side or, adaptive frequency shiftfiltering. The latter alternative uses the known parameters ofthe interference signal, i.e., differential GPS, in particular itscyclostationarity. We compare results and demonstrate that adaptivefrequency shift filtering outperforms subcarrier notching, especially when the interferer power is high.
