Resumen:
The present paper deals with U pper Palaeozoic foliage leaves and leafy shoots, including one with a fructification in attachment, fromthe Bajo de Véliz flora, San Luis province, Argentina. The specimens are referred to Velizia inconstans, gen. et sp. nov., which shows a range ofleaf forro from cuneate-spathulate to oval. The lea ves are often torn, giving them a variously "segmented" appearance. Possible affinities ofthe plant are discussed.
