Resumen:
Araucaria antarctica Césari et al. is an illegitimate name because it is a later homonym of Araucaria antarctica Gee (fossil Araucariaceae). Hence, a new specific epithet, fibrosa, is proposed to accommodate the species described more recently. © 2009 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
