Resumen:
In the northwestern sector of Sierra de la Huerta, marbles layers often occur interbedded with amphibolites and quartz-feldespar-biotite gneisses. According to their mineralogical, petrographic characteristics and field relationships, it was determined that marbles experienced high-grade (granulite facies) metamorphism and that they can be correlated with the type-1 marbles described by Gallien et al. (2008) in the southeastern sector of the hill.
