Resumen:
Gold-silver mineralization at Casposo deposit is hosted within multiphase epithermal quartz±calcite±adularia veins, fault breccias and stockworks associated with tensional faulting and hydrothermal brecciation in a pyroclastic-volcanic sequence (Choiyoi Group). Mineralization is located along subvertical to steeply west-southwesterly dipping, northwest-southeast, north-south and east-west striking structures. Ore minerals include gold, native silver, electrum, acanthite, argentotetrahedrite, low silver-bearing tetrahedrite, silver sulphosalts and minor stromeyerite, iodargyrite, cervelleite and hessite, with fine-grained sulphides (mainly pyrite). Oxidation has reached depths of > 50 meters within veins and breccias. Estimated global resources (gold equivalent cut off 1.3 g/t) are 2.682.000 tons grading 4.16 g/t gold and 114 g/t silver.
