Resumen:
The geology fo a small maar lakes from the Pali Aike Volcanic Field is described. The identified maar complex is inferred to be a result of shallow depth phreatomagmatic explosive eruptions through a soft substrate where lateral and vertical vent migration took place leaving behind a broad and nested maar complex with low aspect ratio tephra rings. The  maar basin enlarged by closely spaced eruptions from nearby vents leading to form nested maars as well as by post-eruption erosion and ongoing subsidence of the diatreme.
