Resumen:
The Peninsula de Valdés is a region geologically characterized by horizontal undisturbed-. Tertiary terrains. Some folded beds called Areniscas del Casco probably of Eocene age and not mentioned yet in the literature crop out in the eastern coast of the peninsula. Areniscas del Casco are uncomformably overlayed by Puerto hladryn Formation of Middle to Upper Miocene age.
The outcrops form an important structural feature of the region.
