In Northern Patagonia two coeval volcanics of Late Massic-Jurassic age have been distinguished. The western ones have a calk-alkaline composition whlle the eastern volcanics are mostly sflkeous and include alkaline terms. The later have some mlneralogical and chemical slrnmflarlties with those from the Southern western ones have a calk-alkaline composition whlle the eastern volcanics are mostly sflkeous and include alkaline terms.
