Resumen:
We propose a simple and efficient approach for the simulation of contamination and decontamination processes. The method, which takes advantage of the speed and adaptability of parallel processing, is applied to analyze some examples of pollutant diffusion when drift (due, e.g., to an applied field or gravity) and particle annihilation (due,e.g., to chemical reactions) are present. Both one- and two-dimensional problems are examined.
