Resumen:
Our objective was to study the impact of neonatal overfeeding on the orexigenic response to acafeteria diet (CAF) in adulthood. Male Wistar rats were raised in small litters (4 pups/dam, SL)or normal litters (10 pups/dam, NL). From weaning they were fed with standard chow, control diet(CON) until postnatal day 90 (PND90). From PND90 and for 11 weeks the animals received CON(3 kcal/g) or palatable occidental-style cafeteria diet (CAF) (4,85 kcal/g), (NL-CON, NL-CAF, SLCON, SL-CAF; 10-14 rats/group). Body weight and food intake were recorded weekly. ElevatedPlus Maze (EPM) and Specific Sensory Satiety test (SSS) were performed at the end ofexperience separated by 15 days.
