We report in this work the synthesis and physicochemical properties of the new complex [Ru(tpm)(bpy)(CH3CN)](PF6)2 (tpm = tris(1-pyrazolyl)methane). In order to extend our knowledge of the catalytic effect of Ru(II), we also report on the hydrolysis reaction of coordinated acetonitrile in this species.
