Resumen:
The physical properties of supernovae can be estimated using several methods, as the hydrodynamical modelling of their light curves and spectra, and the detection and analysis of the progenitor star in pre-explosion images. Previous studies showed a discrepancy in the progenitor masses inferred by both methods.A former study of the SN~2018aoq based on the analysis of pre-explosion data from the Hubble Space Telescope have inferred a red supergiant progenitor with a zero-age main sequence mass of 10~M⊙. We obtain the progenitor mass, among other physical properties, through hydrodynamic simulations of its light curve and photospheric velocity. Our mass estimation is compatible with the one derived from direct detections of the progenitor, providing additional support to our method.
