Resumen:
The characterisation of scaling relations between global galaxy properties contributes to establishconstraints to plausible evolutionary models for them. In this work, we use the eagle (Evolution and Assemblyof GaLaxies and their Environments) cosmological simulations to test the potential of effective yields, yeff , asindicators of the accumulated impact of feedback processes in such relations. Our results are able to distinguishdifferential behaviours in the distribution of values of yeff when varying, separately, the supernova and activegalactic nuclei (AGN) feedback efficiencies in the models. Furthermore, we study the temporal variation of yeff byconstructing the merger trees of two typical massive galaxies. Simulations predict that AGN feedback processesand galaxy mergers strongly influence the yeff evolution.
