Resumen:
This paper provides petrogenetic and geothermometric informationabout the Sauce Guacho granite, obtained from the morphological analysis of zircons and theinterpretation of pre-existing geochemical data of its equigranular facies. This intrusive, ofLower Carboniferous age, is located in the northern sector of the eastern slope of Ancastirange, within the ambit of Sierras Pampeanas Orientales. The morphology of zircon indicatesthat the equigranular facies of the Sauce Guacho Granite correspond to an "autochthonousand intrusive aluminous leucogranite" of the group of cortical granites or mainly of corticalorigin; furthermore this facies have saturation temperatures in zircon, mainly below 800°Cand generally it shows a good correspondence with others Devonian Lower Carboniferousages granites from Sierras Pampeanas.
