Resumen:
The use of conventional oil based polymers hasgenerated threats to the environment, so thatrenewable and biodegradable materials are receivinggreat attention from the scientific and industrialcommunity. Currently, the generation of compositebiomaterials from biomass is an alternative for thecreation of renewable materials that can equal orexceed the thermal and mechanical performance of oilbased engineering polymers. For this reason, cellulosenanofibers (NFC) obtained from an interestingArgentine cane functionalized with a low molecularweight polylactic acid (LMWPLA), allowing itscompatibility with a high molecular weight PLA(HMWPLA), were used in the present work.
