Resumen:
Apromising strategy which takes advantage of the frequent impairment of DNArepair pathways in tumor cells is synthetic lethality (SL). Loss of theHomologous Recombination Repair (HRR) capacity is frequent in breast andovarian cancer. In those patients, normal cells are HRR proficient andtherefore, the accumulation of HRR substrates should selectively cause celldeath in HRR defective cancer cells but not in normal cells. These hypothesishas been validated using Poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase inhibitors (PARPi); (i.e: Olaparib),therefore prompting the systematic search for better and more specific SL inducers. *Equal Contribution to this work
