Resumen:
Chromosome organization is a highly regulated and ubiquitous process which is observed across taxa, both in prokaryotes and eukaryotes. Organisms present a close relation between the remodeling of their genome structure and other fundamental physiological processes such as cell division, regulation of transcriptional programs and cellular differentiation. Here we present an analysis of the conformational changes of the single chromosome from the Gram positive bacterium Bacillus subtilis throughout its cell cycle.
