Resumen:
After decades of intensive research, pancreaticadenocarcinoma (PDAC) remains a highly lethaldisease with a median survival time that does notexceed 6.5 months [1]. Since more than 80% of patientspresent with advanced metastatic disease, systemicchemotherapy remains the only treatment. The highresistance to conventional and targeted therapies inPDAC as in other desmoplastic tumors of adults islargely due to the dense extracellular matrix (ECM).The ECM distorts blood and lymphatic vessels structurethat hampers the possibility of systemically deliveredtherapies to reach the tumor mass [2].
