Resumen:
Advanced understanding of the solar and heliospheric phenomena that affect the space environment influenced by our Sun, encompassing from their origin in the solar atmosphere, through their evolution in the interplanetary medium, to their arrival in geospace, is essential to improve predictability of space weather in our planetary system. The variety of new international heliospheric space missions, together with increasingly realistic numerical simulations constitute promising advances to improve forecasting of solar and heliospheric impacts on Earth's environment.
