Resumen:
This work presents a methodology aimed at addressing the introduction learning process to production programming or scheduling, by means of heuristics. The approach consists in the development of an interactive tool that gives support to the student or practitioner when acquiring advanced knowledge about production scheduling. The proposal facilitates the classification, study and test of rules used when a given number of activities requires to be scheduled on given resources. Despite the fact that from many years, a lot of techniques have been developed to tackle the scheduling problem (mathematical models, intelligent systems, etc.), many practitioners in industry still does not apply them, mainly because of their complexity. In contrast, heuristics are accessible tools that can be very helpful to the industrial engineer in order to obtain feasible and efficient schedules. Also, heuristics are easy to understand by employees with different level of expertise. In this contribution, advances in the development of a methodology to ease the learning of production scheduling by means of heuristics are presented. It allows the interaction with the student/user. By means of this approach, the student/user will be able to understand which is the goal of each rule, when is more convenient its application, as well as to compare solutions coming from different heuristics, propose alternative scenarios, etc.
