Resumen:
It has long been revealed that the body temperature is controlled by the blood circulation, local metabolic activity and heat exchange between the skin and its environment. Any abnormality in the tissue, such as the presence of a tumor, alters the normal temperature on the skin surface due to the increased metabolic activity and blood circulation. Therefore, abnormal skin temperature profile might indicate the presence of an embedded tumor. The idea of this work is use this temperature profile in order to predict the location and size of the embedded tumor. This data can be found solving theinverse bioheat transfer problem.
