Resumen:
We studied a one-dimensional free boundary problem arising in thepolymer industry. Imposing a convective boundary condition, thesolution has an interesting asymptotic behavior. It is found thatthe free boundary is bounded by a constant which does not dependon the conductivity coefficient, which holds even if diffusionprocess is non-linear. Numerical methods are presented tocalculate the solutions .
