Resumen:
In this paper we define the normalized spherical transform associated to the generalized Gelfand pair (U(p,q),H_{n}), where H_n is the Heisenberg group 2n+1-dimensional and p+q=n. We show that restricted to appropriate subsets of the spectrum can be identified with functions in the image of the spherical transform corresponding to the Gelfand pair (U(n),H_{n}). As a consequence we obtain that these restrictions can be extended to Schwartz functions on R^2.
