Resumen:
In the Province of Córdoba, between the months July and September numerous fires take place, that affect important extensions of territory. They agree generally with the time of drought, months of May to September, and whose importance depends, among other factors, of the temperatures, the present winds, in addition to the abundance of combustible material and the antrópico factor that of accidental or intentional form, trigger the wrecks throughout the years. These fires emit great amount of material particulado to the atmosphere affecting some times to the health of the population near them. With the objective of being able to evaluate the contribution of different elements from the atmosphere on the part of the fires that took place in the province of Córdoba during year 2003, plants of Tillandsia capillaris were collected in next to fires and free zones of them. Later one evaluated the heavy metal concentration and other elements (Br, Ca, Co, Cu, Faith, K, Mn, Nor, Pb, S, Mr., V and Zn) in the biomonitor and categorizó each site according to the proximity and importance of fires. It was observed that in sites next to fires the biomonitor was enriched with Cu, Neither and Zn as demonstrates the contribution of these elements to the atmosphere when these take place. In addition, made maps, where they were observed that the space distribution of Cu, and Ni in leaves of the biomonitor one shows an increase in relation to the location of fires the more important that they took place in the study area. Finally we can say that the use of biomonitores can be a useful tool for the evaluation of fires in underdeveloped countries or low resources
