What Kind of Bonus Points System Makes th Rugby Teams More Offensive?

Using simple tools of game theory, we compare the level of \oen-siveness"that rugby teams have under dierent kind of points systemsusually used in some important tournaments around the world. Underthe light of an static model, we will see if teams become more oensivewhen a bonus is awarded for scoring more than 4 tries, or the win-ning team scores three tries more than the other team, or no bonusis awarded. Finally, using a dynamic model and some results fromDynamic Games (Masso - Neme), we will show what bonus systemoers better payos for the involved teams.
