Resumen:
Abstract Three Cu-Chitosan composite catalysts were prepared by coprecipitation of a Cu- Chitosan complex onto cylindrical pellets in subsequent impregnation steps. Samples were used in the wet peroxide oxidation (WPO) of phenol solutions at 30ºC and 1 atm. All catalysts were active for phenol degradation.. Leaching of the active species during reaction was detected.
