Resumen:
Blends composed of diamine diphenyl methane-cured bisphenol A epoxy resin and poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) were prepared via in situ curing reaction of epoxy in presence of PEO. The miscibility of blends before and after the curing reaction was established by thermal (differential scanning calorimetry), structural (atomic force microscopy) and dynamic mechanical analysis. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy indicated that the OH groups developed through cure reactions interact by hydrogen bonding with PEO. The interaction parameter was determined through the depression of the melting temperature.
