Historic review of the Laboratorio de Radiocarbono LATYR, with more than 40 years of experience and uninterrupted work, providing the Argentinean andinternational community conventional dating services by liquid scintillation counting (LSC) . Our staff participates in research projects and scientific productions inNatural Sciences, i.e. archaeology, paleontology, geology and anthropology, as well as teaches and supervises courses, fellowships and conferences. We alsoparticipate in CONICET´s ?Programa Ciencia y Justicia? by assisting in forensic cases. In the last years, we have developed techniques for 14C measurement byAMS: production of CO2 by combustion and storing in an ampoule and CO2 converted to graphite in a grafitization line for samples that do not fit the sizerequirement for its processing at our laboratory.
