Resumen:
Among the fish parasites, the Trichodinidae family is considered as one of the most common both in natural conditions and culture. More than 250 species of this family have been described, obtained from the skin, gills, within the urinary bladder of fish and amphibians, and from the tegument and genital tract of invertebrates. In Mexico, four species of trichodinids from four species of poecilids have been reported and in Argentina two species .The aim of this study is to know the composition of trichodinids obtained from gills and skin from poecilids of some localities from central Mexico and Argentina. The fishes were collected from different localities and examined for trichodinid. Squash slidesof skin and gills were made from live specimens.
