Resumen:
The mobile app guides users in the identification of bug findings; they take photos of the insects they found and report their geolocation using the phone?s location services. Data validation is done remotely by specialist and users receive an answer of each record sent and complementary information about the historic geographic distribution, general features and high-quality photos of triatomine species, and information on Chagas disease. The goal is to promote greater awareness and involvement of the community on Chagas surveillance and create updated occurrence maps to aid in vector control actions.
