Resumen:
Powerful analytical and preparative methods for enantiomer separations in chromatography, especially for chargeable chiral analytes (selectands, AAs), are connected to the concept ofchiral ion exchangers; in concrete: chiral anion exchangers, chiral cation exchangers, and chiral zwitterionic ion exchangers.Chiral weak anion exchangers (AX type stationary phases, CSPs) based on Cinchona alkaloidderivatives have already been extensively investigated by us for the separation of chiral acidiccompounds of a broad structural range. Also complementary enantioselectively weak andstrong cation exchangers (CX) type CSPs have been developed by us and studied for theenantiomer separation of chiral amines. And as newest developments we concentrate ourefforts on zwitterionic CSPs.
