Resumen:
We have synthesized a series of chiral 1,2- and 1,3-amino alcohols in a straightforward and efficient manner from levoglucosenone. These compounds have been evaluated as catalysts in the asymmetric diethylzinc addition to benzaldehyde with good enantioselectivities.
