The review intends to provide an up-to-date vision of multi-way figures of merit, in perspective with the well-established univariate and first-order counterparts, which have already been covered in several reviews, including one I co-authored in 2006. However, although there are several review articles already published concerning the generation and chemometric processing of multi-way data, as discussed in the proposal for the present work, and probably additional ones will be published shortly on the same subject, a specific literature revision of analytical figures of merit for multi-way calibration is lacking.
