Resumen:
ABSTRACT ? It is well known that the shape of the yield locus and work contours can affect plastic-flow stability, with rounded corners or facets promoting a tendency towards flow localization. Such regions might exist in the yield locus of the virgin material, due to processing, or they could develop in the material?s work contours, as a result of texture development during plastic deformation. In this research, using both conventional fullconstraints and self-consistent polycrystal-plasticity simulations, we examine how the initial texture shapes the material?s yield locus, the evolution of the texture and the work contours and finally, how this behavior is manifested in a forming-limit curve, FLC.
