Resumen:
In this work we show a general viscoelastic procedure for determining the activation energy involved in the movement of the polymer chains owing to the melting of the crystalline zones in crystalline polymers. The procedure was applied to dynamic mechanical analysis studies performed in neutron irradiated EPDM where crystalline zones are developed by means of chemi-crystallisation. The obtained results of the activation energy were also correlated with the free volume of the samples determined from positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy.
