ABSTRACT: The aim of this paper is to study the feasibility of a system based on water flat solar collectors for the energy savings of a school, which does not have natural gas network, in Alcorta, Santa Fe Province. Climate, solar and thermal demand data were compiled as well as the availability of the site for calculating the area of the collectors according to the specifications of the existing equipments . The so-called f-chart (Beckman, 1997) method was used. The results that were obtained, determine the feasibility of the system with an area of 273 m2, occupied by 76 collectors of 2m2 each, which represent 65,3% of the energy savings with a return rate of 5 years and a reduction in the emission of 50 CO2 greenhouse gases tonnes.The aim of this paper is to study the feasibility of a system based on water flat solar collectors for the energy savings of a school, which does not have natural gas network, in Alcorta, Santa Fe Province.
