Resumen:
ABSTRACT The goal was to design a hybrid sun - heat system for heating the pool water "Active Center I" of the city of Quito - Ecuador, which allows reducing fossil fuel consumption, while maintaining quality of service and comfort its users. The scope included sizing the system, economic analysis and sustainability. The methodology used was to evaluate the energy resource, calculate the load plaintiff, select solar collector, calculate the performance and the surface required, estimate the fuel savings and avoided emissions of carbon dioxide. This concluded that it is safe, economical and environmental care, because it uses a renewable energy source, which reduces to 70% of current consumption of diesel. The goal was to design a hybrid sun - heat system for heating the pool water "Active Center I" of the city of Quito - Ecuador, which allows reducing fossil fuel consumption, while maintaining quality of service and comfort its users.
