Resumen:
We propose a phase measurement technique to retrieve optical phasedistributions coded in noisy temporal speckle pattern interferometrysignals presenting regions of adjacent low modulated pixels, that is based on the bidimensional empirical modedecomposition and the Hilbert transform. It is shown that this approach can effectively remove noiseand minimize the influence of large sets of adjacent non-modulated pixelsin the time series of speckle interferograms. The performance of the phaseretrieval approach is analyzed using computer simulated speckleinterferograms modulated with a temporal carrier. This is also compared withthe results obtained by the well-known technique based on the one-dimensional empirical mode decomposition. The advantages andlimitations of the approach are finally discussed.
