Thereby, PPCP´s characteristics like biodegradability, sorption and other were evaluated. In order to perform this evaluation, process simulation was used to observe the behavior of each chemical compound included in both biological processes. The results obtained after simulations shows that PPCP´s like ibuprofen, naproxen, estrone, iopormide and sulfamethoxazole have high removal efficiencies. On the other hand, carbamazepine presents low removal efficiency. In conclusion, PPCP´s presents a different behavior that depends on the degradation constant value for aerobic conditions. On the other side, sorption of chemical compounds like tonalide and galaloxide has a relevant importance and should be consider if a sludge treatment is considerat
