Fenton and photo-Fenton reactions are known for their capacities for mineralizing and oxidizing a great variety of non biodegradable compounds. These capacities are modified by light, hydrogen peroxide concentration, iron concentration, and reaction temperature.1 In this work a kinetic model to describe the evolution of formic acid (F), hydrogen peroxide (P) and ferrous ion (Fe2+) concentrations was proposed. The kinetic study was carried out in an isothermal, well-stirred tank photoreactor irradiated from the bottom (Fig. 1).
