Resumen:
Reactive scheduling problems normally take place in industrial environments due to the frequent occurrence of unexpected events, such as new orders arrivals and equipment breakdown, which generally alter the in progress schedule. These situations demand immediate revision and adaptation of the current operational plans to cope with the disruptive events. Therefore, it is of great interest to address these problems by means of computer-aided tools able to generate good quality adapted schedules while sustaining the participation of the scheduler. In this contribution, advances in the development of a support framework to tackle the reactive scheduling activities associated with FMS environments are presented. The paper first discusses the nature of the rescheduling problem and provides an overview of the system architecture. Then, the module responsible for tackling the rescheduling problem itself is presented in more detail. It has been implemented by means of a constraint programming approach. The main features of the proposed system are illustrated by addressing two small size case studies
